Mike Galligan, AINS, is a third generation California native born into an Insurance family in Marysville, an historic Gold Rush city that served as the “Gateway to the Gold Fields.” Mike’s grandfather and great uncle started an insurance agency in Marysville in the early 1900’s, which his father joined in the 50’s.

Mike graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a BS in Business Administration and joined the family agency in 1983. He worked there until 2000, leaving to join an agency in Redding, California, and moved again in 2007 to become a production underwriter in the wholesale division for Networked Insurance Agents. In 2012 he became a renewal underwriter for NIA before joining Novita Insurance Solutions as a Production Underwriter and Account Executive. Mike obtained his Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation in 2017.

Mike enthusiastically embraces the NorCal outdoor lifestyle. He’s a former competitive distance runner who enjoys a number of outdoor activities including mountain biking, road cycling, and hiking. His hobbies include driving and tinkering with a modified 1940’s Willys MB Jeep, and collecting and working on bicycles, of which he currently has seven.
